Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is based on Holistic Massage, but focuses in more detail on specific areas, using a range of techniques to work on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue (fascia). The techniques used in this style of massage are not dissimilar to those used in Swedish Massage, however, the pressure is generally more intense.

This style of massage is recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, participate in heavy physical activity such as athletes, and patients who have sustained a physical injury.

It’s not uncommon for any pain prior to this treatment to be replaced by muscle aches for a day or two afterwards.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage delivers a whole host of benefits to the body, by means of harmonisation, rejuvenation and restoration. This treatment is carried out using heated basalt stones, in addition to traditional massage techniques applied by the therapist’s hands.

This treatment works on physically stimulating the circulation and metabolism, which in turn promotes deep relaxation and spiritual balance for the recipient.

This treatment is well known to deliver benefits in multiples to that of other massage treatments.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is both an energising and uplifting treatment, known to promote an immediate sense of wellbeing for the recipient. Traditionally, this is a fully body massage, working on the neck, shoulders, arms, abdomen, back and legs. However, this treatment can easily be tailored to suit your needs.

This treatment uses different movements, effleurage (gliding stroke), petrissage (wide variety and application of kneading strokes) compression (light medium and deep stationary pressure) shaking (a lift and a shake of arms, legs or specific muscles) vibration (compression with a shaking motion) and friction (a high energy vibration of an area). A combination of these movements help to increase circulation and flexibility, soothe tense muscles and reduce feelings of anxiety and stress.

If you’re looking for a sense of peace, calm and tranquillity, then this is the treatment for you.

Body Wraps

Husbands to be, are you struggling to lose those last few inches before The Big Day? How about treating yourself to one of these?

A seaweed and aromatherapy body wrap will help you detox, relax and lose inches off your body, all in one treatment. Medical research continues to prove the benefits of applying treatments to the epidermis (outer layer of skin), of which body wraps is one, with references to this method of treatments dating back to the Ancient Egyptians.

Whatever the occasion, if you like sampling new treatments, with little effort required, why not give this a go?

Hopi Ear Candling

Hopi Ear Candling (Ear Coning or Thermo Auricular Therapy) is an extremely pleasant and non invasive method of assisting the treatment of various ear problems.

The candles create a warm sensation within the ear, promoting relief and relaxation for the recipient. The candles draw any impurities from within the ear to the surface.

The treatment is followed by a facial massage, intended to further clear the sinuses, and relieve congestion.
